    Although they did not come during the pioneer era of 1800-1850, the Nelson family were early settlers, leaving many descendants in Denmark Township.

The event will help build positive relationships between first responders and individuals with developmental disabilities. By getting to know one another in a relaxed setting, everyone benefits from greater understanding, trust, and communication should an emergency ever arise.

Credit: Sheri Nye Famous actress Esther Williams often had her name on the beautiful Shea’s Theater Marquee.
cinematreasures.org The lights of the beautiful Shea’s’ Theatre drew patrons from several states and was the centerpiece of Main Street.
cinematreasures.org Shea’s stage had a retractable screen when concerts and stars performed live. Beautiful damask and silk curtains surrounded the stage.
cinematreasures.org As an incentive to buy more Cokes, Coca-Cola had a campaign at Shea’s that allowed you a free show for 10 Coca-Cola bottle caps - glass bottles, of course.
