The Geneva Eagles football team lost their Division III play-off game to Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy on Friday, Nov. 7.
Geneva lost the game 42-7, but was without two of their best players in Bryce Peet and Ricky DiPetta.
With the loss, Geneva ended their season at 9-3.
The Royals were firing from all cylinders from the start with a 61-yard touchdown by Joey Kopec to give CVCA an early 7-0 lead.
Brayden Harris then intercepted a pass for a 50-yard touchdown, pushing the lead to 14-0.
Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy added another interception in the opening quarter to set-up a short scoring drive.
Charley Levak went on to score on an 11-yard touchdown run, increasing the lead to 21-0.
Cuyahoga Valley continued to dominate both on the ground and in the air in the first half.
Zac Anderson upped the lead to 28-0 with a touchdown run.
Wesley Keeler also had a first-half touchdown run, making it 35-0.
Levak then put the finishing touches on the first half scoring outburst with a 61-yard touchdown pass to Kopec, making it 42-0 at the break.
Owen Davis had an 85-yard kickoff return at the end of the second quarter, but the Eagles were unable to finish the possession with points.
Caden Proy scored the only touchdown for Geneva in the fourth quarter, making the final score 42-7. Proy scored on a 39-yard touchdown run to cap his senior season.
