GENEVA – Phantom Fireworks, the nation’s number one consumer fireworks retailer, held a grand-opening event for its new Geneva showroom on Saturday, June 20.
Located at 633 South Broadway in Geneva, Phantom of Geneva represents Phantom’s 97th permanent showroom, under the ownership and operation of Phantom Fireworks.
This showroom features 500- and 200-gram aerial repeaters, reloadable mortars, ground-based fountains, firecrackers, parachutes and more.
“Phantom offers a massive selection to ensure customers’ celebrations are memorable and safe,” reads a press release.
The showroom is open seven days a week with extended hours available through July 4.
The festivities on June 20 included a community event with appearances by mascots The Phantom and Sir C.C. from the Cleveland Cavaliers. The two mascots raced each other to to break through the ribbon, before an actual ribbon-cutting ceremony was held.
Also at the event, CEO Bruce J. Zoldan and Executive Vice President Alan Zoldan presented a $5,000 donation each to Geneva Area City Schools, the Geneva Police Department and the Geneva Fire Department on behalf of Phantom Fireworks.
Guests received exclusive coupons and swag during the grand opening.
Bill Weimer, Phantom Fireworks vice president and legal counsel, said Geneva was a good fit for the company.
“When we open a showroom, we expect to be in it for the long haul,” he said. “We hope to establish a long, strong relationship with the community.”
Weimer said safety is a top priority for the company.
The company is devoted to educating and guiding customers on the safe handling of all fireworks products, and the Phantom stores provide safety pamphlets, cards, and videos effectively designed to educate customers on proper fireworks handling and disposal methods.
Each state maintains different laws and guidelines that regulate the industry, and Ohio has allowed communities to have some say in their regulations.
