The Pymatuning Valley Lakers won a high scoring game 93-72 over the visiting Cardinal Huskies on Friday, Jan 23. Pymatuning Valley scored at least 24 points in three of the four quarters.
The Lakers jumped out to a 27-17 lead after one quarter of action. Chase Guysinger led the Lakers with 13 points in the opening quarter.
Justin Britton also had a first quarter with 11 points. Noah Dubic added the only other basket with a three-pointer.
Carson Davis led the Huskies with nine points all off of three-pointers. Joey Komandt added a three-pointer of his own for Cardinal.
Ian Sindelar, Blake Strever and Kannon Strever combined for the remaining five points.
The Lakers kept up the solid pace as they outshot the Huskies 24-20 in the second quarter. Pymatuning Valley now led 51-37 going into halftime.
Justin Britton added ten more for the Lakers as he scored 21 points in the first half.
Chase Guysinger put up seven more points to give him 20 points in the first half.
Andrew Wludyga added a three-pointer for the Lakers, while Noah Dubic and William Baugher each added two-points.
Cardinal continued to score as well, but were unable to keep up with Pymatuning Valley.
Kannon Stewart led the Huskies with five points in the second quarter. Thomas Skyta, Joey Komandt and Carson Davis each added four points. Blake Strever scored the other three points for the Huskies on a three-pointer.
The Huskies outscored the Lakers 19-18 in the third quarter, but still trailed 69-56 going into the fourth quarter.
Carson Davis and Blake Strever each scored six points for the Huskies in the third quarter as both knocked down a pair of three-pointers.
Kannon Strever added four more points, while Ian Sindelar added a basket and Komandt added a free throw. Chase Guysinger and Justin Britton each added five points for the Lakers in the third quarter.
Noah Dubic went four for six from the line and Max Moores and William Baugher each went two-for-two at the line.
The Lakers cruised to the 93-72 win by outscoring the Huskies 24-16 in the fourth quarter. Chase Guysinger continued to dominate the game with nine points to finish with a team high 34 points.
Justin Britton added a pair of free throws to finish with 28 points.
Garrett Gray came off the bench to add four points for the Lakers and Andrew Wludyga hit on his second three-pointer of the game.
Owen Karbacka, Carter Tisch and Padraig Ferric each added two points in the fourth quarter for Pymatuning Valley.
