The Pymatuning Valley Lakers boys’ basketball team defeated the visiting Conneaut Spartans 54-36 on Tuesday, Dec. 2nd.
Justin Britton paced the Lakers in the opening quarter with six of their 13 points.
Noah Dubic added three points, while Trent Harvey and Chase Guysinger each added two points.
Cayson Hayes scored the only basket for the Spartans on a three-pointer.
The Lakers began to pull away even more in the second quarter as they outshot Conneaut 18-11 to lead 31-14 going into halftime.
Justin Britton again led Pymatuning Valley with 12 points.
Noah Dubic added four points and Andrew Wludyga added two points.
Jacob Thompson led the Spartans with four points in the quarter.
Yadiel Parales-Cruz added three points, Jayden Hook two points and Noah Sigley two points.
Pymatuning Valley continued to separate themselves in the third quarter by outscoring Conneaut 19-9 for a 50-23 lead.
Justin Britton knocked down a pair of three-pointers to finish with a game high 24 points.
Paddy Ferrie added four points, Wludyga hit a three-pointer and Trent Harvey, William Baugher and Guysinger each added two points.
Jacob Thompson led the Spartans with seven of their nine points in the quarter.
Jayden Hook scored the only other basket for Conneaut in the third quarter.
The Spartans would make it a respectable game in the fourth quarter by outscoring the Lakers 13-4 in the quarter, but still lost 50-36.
Alden Goudge scored all six of his points in the fourth quarter for Conneaut.
Jacob Thompson added three points to finish with a team high 14 points.
Caden Webb and Yadiel Parales-Cruz each added two points.
