JEFFERSON – Ashtabula County Commissioner Casey Kozlowski has been elected Vice President of the County Commissioners Association of Ohio (CCAO) by his fellow commissioners during the association’s Annual Business Meeting held in December 2025.
CCAO represents Ohio’s 88 county boards of commissioners and serves as the leading statewide organization advocating for counties at the Ohio General Assembly and with state agencies. The association provides legislative advocacy, policy development, legal support, and professional education to help counties deliver efficient and effective local government services.
As Vice President, Kozlowski will serve in a key leadership role, helping guide the association’s policy priorities, supporting county commissioners across Ohio, and advancing issues impacting local governments, including public safety, infrastructure, workforce development, and fiscal responsibility.
“I’m honored and grateful for the confidence my colleagues across Ohio have placed in me,” said Kozlowski. “Counties are on the front lines of delivering services to our residents, and CCAO plays a critical role in ensuring our voices are heard at the Statehouse. Kozlowski has served as an Ashtabula County Commissioner for more than a decade, bringing extensive experience in county operations, budgeting, public safety, infrastructure investment, and economic development. Prior to serving as commissioner, he represented the region in the Ohio House of Representatives and also served on the Pymatuning Valley Local School District Board of Education.
A lifetime resident of Ashtabula County, Kozlowski has remained actively engaged in community organizations and regional initiatives, with a strong focus on responsible governance, transparency, and collaboration among local, state, and regional partners.
Through his leadership with CCAO, Kozlowski will continue advocating for Ohio’s counties while sharing Ashtabula County’s perspective and experience on statewide issues affecting local governments.
