ANDOVER – Children dashed for eggs at the Andover Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 4, at John R. Overly Recreational Park.
Hosted by the Andover Police Auxiliary and the Pymatuning Area Chamber of Commerce, the egg hunt began at 10 a.m. sharp, and was over within minutes.
Chamber President Lara Reibold said donations from the community and sponsors help the two organizations in putting on the egg hunt, with people donating both money and prizes.
Some prizes could be picked up that day, while others had families visiting the donating businesses.
Reibold said at least two bikes were given away in each age group, along with many other prizes.
She said there were over 500 prizes, plus thousands of candy eggs.
Also that morning, the Andover Fire Auxiliary sponsored a pancake breakfast at the Andover Fire Department.
