JEFFERSON – Gazette Newspapers once again will honor veterans in a special “Veterans Day Tribute” publication.
The Gazette is welcoming submissions from readers for this special publication, which will run in the Nov. 5th issue of the Gazette.
Let’s come together as a community to recognize the veterans who have served, sacrificed, and made a difference in our lives.
“Help us honor the brave men and women who have served our country. The Gazette invites readers to submit a Veteran to be featured in our Veterans Day Tribute, publishing Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026. You may submit yourself, a family member, loved one, friend, or a Veteran you admire. Share a few words about who they are, their service, and what makes them special to you. You may also include a photo if you would like,” reads the submission form.
This is not a contest – every entry received will be featured in the Veterans Day Tribute.
The veterans may be living or deceased.
While an entry form is running on page 2 of this week’s Gazette Newspapers, people are welcome to include an additional letter with their entry if they need more room to share their story.
Due to space limitations within the publication, longer submissions may be edited or shortened by the Gazette editorial team.
The submission deadline is Oct. 22.
How to submit: Mail your completed form and optional photo to:
Gazette Newspapers • P.O. Box 166 • Jefferson, OH 44047
Entries and photos may also be emailed to contests@gazettenews.com
Submissions should include: Veteran’s Name; Branch of Service; Years Served (if known); Name of Submitter; Relationship to Veteran; Phone or Email and Words/Bio About the Veteran
