The Geneva 50/70 All-Stars defeated the visiting Jefferson 50/70 All-Stars 6-3 in a recent baseball match-up.
The game started as a pitching duel between Paul McLeod, of Geneva and Brennan Davidson, of Jefferson.
Neither team would score until the top of the third inning.
Jefferson would get on the board first in the top of the third inning to lead 1-0.
Geneva answered right away with a run in the bottom half of the third inning to tie the game at 1-1.
Geneva took the lead with a run in the bottom of the fourth inning, making it 2-1.
Geneva tacked on two more insurance runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, upping the score to 4-1.
Jefferson tried to battle back with two runs in the top of the fifth inning, trimming the lead to 4-3.
However, Geneva answered with two more runs of their own as they went on to win 6-3.
Brennan Davidson started on the mound for Jefferson and pitched five innings. Davidson gave up four runs, three earned, on seven hits, four walks and six strikeouts.
Julian Bowser pitched an inning in relief and gave up two runs on four hits.
