EASTLAKE – A former police officer who’d served in several local departments was charged Wednesday, Nov. 19, with two misdemeanor counts of voyeurism.
Christopher Pattie, of Edison Drive in Eastlake, was the subject of an investigation by the Eastlake Police Department, according to Willoughby Municipal Court records.
Pattie was employed with the Madison Township Police Department from Aug. 24, 2023 through Nov. 5, 2025 as a court officer as needed and was not assigned to patrol, according to Kimberly Miller Schwab, deputy clerk with the Madison Township Police Department.
He had no disciplinary records during his tenure there.
During a pretrial hearing held Tuesday, Nov. 25, Pattie pleaded not guilty to two 1st-degree misdemeanor counts of voyeurism for allegedly shooting upskirt videos of two people.
Upskirting or is the practice of taking photographs or videos under someone’s skirt, capturing an image or video of their private area, showing underwear or genitalia.
Pattie was released on $5,000 cash surety bond and ordered to have no contact with his alleged victims.
He waived his right to an arraignment. The court docket shows a pretrial hearing scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 13.
