ANDOVER – Deputy Joe Cooper received the May Hard Hat Award from Pymatuning Valley Local Schools.
Cooper is PV’s School Resource Officer.
Superintendent Christopher Edison presented Cooper with the award at the recent Pymatuning Valley Local Schools Board of Education meeting.
Edison shared words about Cooper from his colleagues.
“Joe Cooper is the definition of dedication and servant leadership within the Pymatuning Valley school community. As our School Resource Officer, Joe consistently goes above and beyond to support the safety, well-being, and success of our students and staff. His commitment to PV extends far beyond his daily responsibilities, as he volunteers his time to help coach both the boys and girls track teams, while also personally providing shoes and athletic gear to students in need,” one colleague shared.
A colleague shared that “Joe is thorough and professional in his handling of school policies, procedures, and safety standards, always ensuring that the needs of students remain at the center of every decision.”
“He actively seeks opportunities to connect with students and staff, checking in on their well-being and making himself available to help navigate concerns or challenges. His caring approach, strong communication skills, and willingness to advocate for students make him a trusted and respected presence throughout the district,” the colleague shared.
Cooper’s colleagues shared, “Whether he is improving campus safety, mentoring students, supporting athletics or simply offering encouragement, Joe Cooper exemplifies what it means to serve others with compassion, integrity, and pride. He is truly deserving of the Hard Hat Award for his unwavering dedication to the students, staff and entire PV community.”
