CONCORD TOWNSHIP – Saturday was hot and humid, but at Concord Community Day, a fun one as well.
A free pancake breakfast kicked off the annual tradition, put on by Concord Township’s fire department.
The entire event took place at Town Hall Campus, located at 7229 Ravenna Road.
The parade followed breakfast, and then local food trucks arrived on site. Sweet Treats with the Trustees began at 12:30 p.m.
Starting at 4 p.m. and running through six o’clock, The Old Stone Schoolhouse was opened for public tours. Opportunities to see the Lake County’s America 250 bell were also available.
There were plenty of options for the kids to have fun, including bounce houses, a variety of carnival games and face painters. Starting at 4 p.m., a frog jump took place, which allowed kids to get involved, and Jungle Terry put on his animal show at 4:30.
In addition to the five food trucks on site was a beer and wine area. Live musical entertainment continued throughout the day as well.
Starting on Saturday, and going into Sunday, was the HOA Softball Tournament. The tournaments were held at LaMuth Middle School.
