JEFFERSON – The Ashtabula County Board of Elections approved the slate of levies to appear on the November ballot during its meeting on Thursday, Aug. 13.
The November election will take place Tuesday, Nov. 3. Early voting begins Oct. 6 and ends Nov. 1.
To vote, people must be registered by Oct. 5. People can check their voter registration – and learn how to register if they aren’t already – at https://www.boe.ohio.gov/ashtabula/voter-registration-information/.
There is one statewide issue on the ballot, Issue 3 – “Voter identification requirements.” Ohio Issue 3 is a proposed constitutional amendment that would permanently enshrine the state’s existing voter photo ID requirements into the Ohio Constitution.
The lone countywide issue is for the Ashtabula County Metroparks, which is asking for an additional 0.5-mill levy for Parks and Recreation for 15 years, 2027-2041.
