The Madison Blue Streaks girls’ basketball team picked up a lopsided win over the visiting Geneva Eagles. Madison won the game 59-28.
Madison started the game quick as they outscored Geneva 19-6 in the opening quarter.
Gianna LaMarco led the way with six points. Leah Brock added four points inside, while CC Alley, Maddie White and Kaylee LaMarco each added a three-pointer.
Elli Burns led the Eagles with four of their six points. Tahkyah Myers scored the only other basket for Geneva.
It was more of the same in the second quarter as the Blue Streaks outpaced the Eagles 20-9 to lead 39-15 going into halftime.
CC Alley paced Madison with eight points.
Gianna LaMarco continued her good night with five points.
Maddie White added a pair of baskets and Amara Morant added a three-pointer.
Myers led the Eagles with four points off of free throws in the second quarter. Cali Boland added a three-pointer and Ella Walker scored the only other basket.
The scoring slowed down in the third quarter, but Madison still outscored Geneva 9-3 to push their lead to 48-18. Gianna LaMarco scored four points for Madison in the quarter.
Leah Brock, Kaylee LaMarco and Maddie White combined for the remaining five points. Isabel Stocker scored the only three points for the Eagles off of a three-pointer.
Madison went on to outscore Geneva 11-10 in the fourth quarter for the 59-28 win.
CC Alley led the way with seven points to finish with a game high 18 points.
Gianna LaMarco added a basket to finish with 17 points.
Lauren Martin came off the bench to add two points for Madison. Elli Burns led the Eagles with five points in the final quarter to finish with a team high nine points.
Stocker added her second, three-pointer of the game to finish with six points.
Myers added the only other basket to finish with eight points.
