ORWELL – The Ashtabula County Dog Wardens are proud to announce a new partnership with the Country Neighbor Program, based in Orwell, Ohio, to expand dog focused outreach and education efforts across Ashtabula County, with support from the Ashtabula County Commissioners.
As frontline advocates for dog welfare in the county, the Dog Wardens play a critical role in protecting dogs, assisting dog owners, and promoting responsible dog ownership. This partnership enhances their ability to connect directly with the community, especially dog owners facing challenges, by providing education, resources, and support to help keep dogs safe, healthy, and in their homes.
Through this collaboration, the Dog Wardens will lead outreach efforts focused on responsible dog care, including proper licensing, nutrition, and overall well-being. The initiative also aims to connect residents with valuable resources, such as dog food assistance and support services available through the Country Neighbor Program.
“By working alongside the Country Neighbor Program, the Dog Wardens are expanding their role beyond traditional services, helping ensure dogs remain healthy, properly cared for, and with the families who love them,” reads a press release.
