Over 1,200 Were “In The Mood” for Saturday’s USO Dance

The adrenaline-rush of D-Day Conneaut’s invasion re-enactment battle behind them, thousands of re-enactors cleaned up and headed from the Allied and Axis camps at Township Park to the Conneaut Human Resources Center on Aug. 19 for one of D-Day Conneaut’s most popular events: the free spaghetti supper and the USO-style dance.

City To Request Bids A Third Time For Conneaut City Hall HVAC System

 CONNEAUT – After the city came up short this year in two rounds of bidding resulting in bids too high to be considered, Conneaut City Manager Jim Hockaday hopes that the third time is the charm when it comes to rebidding a new air conditioning system for Conneaut City Hall.

Recycling For Just $5 A Year

 CONNEAUT – Ashtabula County Commissioners brought their road show to Conneaut 5 p.m. Aug. 28 to explain why a proposed $5 annual fee per improved Ashtabula County property is the most logical means of restoring county-wide recycling.
