ASHTABULA - The Lakeside Dragons boys tennis team defeated the host Edgewood Warriors in a recent tennis match. The Dragons defeated Edgewood 4-1 with their only loss coming due to a forfeit in second doubles.
JEFFERSON – Sam Hitchcock ends his basketball career at Jefferson with four notable records. He has the most career wins with 73, most points with 1,545 and most rebounds with 812. He also holds the record for most points scored in a game with 42. Hitchcock broke the previous record of 41 twice this season with 42 points against Lakeview on Feb. 3 and 42 points against Poland on Feb. 13.
MADISON – Corbin Anthony, of Madison, was named to the All-Ohio Associated Press Division I basketball team as an honorable mention.
COLUMBUS - Austin Norris, of Jefferson finished 6th overall at the Division II State Tournament wrestling at 220lbs.
ORWELL- Matt Brumit enters his second season as the head coach of the Grand Valley Mustangs baseball team. The Mustangs went 17-6 last year and 14-0 in their conference. However, they lost in sectionals to Berkshire.
ASHTABULA – The Ashtabula County Basketball Foundation senior classic was held at Edgewood High School on Friday, March 17. Playing for the home team was Amanda Amsdell, of Edgewood, Cassandra Gallo, of Grand Valley, Alex Schafer, of Geneva, Carly Aponte, of Lakeside, Abby Takacs, of Grand Valley, Abrea Furman, of Edgewood, Kaileigh Sloan, of Edgewood, Kylie Clint, of Geneva, Leah Patterson, of Grand Valley and Emily Corlew, of Geneva. The team was coached by Grand Valley head coach Kim Triskett.

JEFFERSON - Scott Barber enters his 17 season as the head coach of the Jefferson Falcons baseball team. The Falcons went 18-7 a year ago and 9-3 in the league for a second place finish. They were sectional champs, but lost in the first round of districts to Geneva.
JEFFERSON – The Jefferson Falcons boys basketball team survived a scare during a Division II Sectional game against Geneva.
ASHTABULA – The Perry Pirates were able to win a thrilling game against the NDCL Lions in a recent district championship game.
