ASHTABULA – Grand River Academy defeated the St. John Heralds 13-1 in a recent non-conference baseball game.
JEFFERSON – The Madison Blue Streaks scored five runs in the top of the seventh to win 5-1 over the Jefferson Falcons.
GENEVA - The Geneva Eagles baseball team fell to the Orange Lions in a recent Chagrin Valley Conference match-up.
ROOTSTOWN- The Grand Valley Mustangs lost a close game to the Rootstown Rovers in a recent non-conference baseball game. The Mustangs held a 1-0 lead, but Rootstown rallied with two runs in the bottom of the sixth for the 2-1 win.
ASHTABULA – The Conneaut Spartans baseball team picked up their first win of the season with a 13-0 win over St. John.
JEFFERSON - The Jefferson Falcons hosted the Champion Golden Flashes in a recent baseball game.
ASHTABULA - The Lakeside Dragons boys tennis team defeated the host Edgewood Warriors in a recent tennis match. The Dragons defeated Edgewood 4-1 with their only loss coming due to a forfeit in second doubles.
JEFFERSON – Sam Hitchcock ends his basketball career at Jefferson with four notable records. He has the most career wins with 73, most points with 1,545 and most rebounds with 812. He also holds the record for most points scored in a game with 42. Hitchcock broke the previous record of 41 twice this season with 42 points against Lakeview on Feb. 3 and 42 points against Poland on Feb. 13.
MADISON – Corbin Anthony, of Madison, was named to the All-Ohio Associated Press Division I basketball team as an honorable mention.
COLUMBUS - Austin Norris, of Jefferson finished 6th overall at the Division II State Tournament wrestling at 220lbs.
