Perry teacher honored for outstanding performance

Perry - Perry High School i Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) teacher, Jennifer Bezzeg, has been selected by the Greater Cleveland Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (GCAFCS) to receive the 2017 Outstanding Teacher Spirit Award. This award is given to a teacher who has elevated and brought life to their Family and Consumer Science program, and who goes above and beyond the classroom by participating in outside activities which enhance their work.

Mentor amphitheater a showcase for cultural and rock

Mentor – While not abandoning its long-time “Mentor Rocks” showcase, city recreation leaders have opted to bring a little culture to the stage of the new $2 million amphitheater, including Shakespeare and opera.
The addition of culture for Mentor-area residents will begin with a performance of Shakespeare's “MacBeth” at 7 p.m. July 30 followed by Aug. 19 and Oct. 6 performances by the Resonanz Opera, a national summer opera company in residence at The Fine Arts Association in Willoughby.

Special Meeting Notice

The Concord Board of Trustees will hold a Special Meeting Tuesday, Aug. 1 for a Question and Answer Discussion on the Proposed Zoning Amendments to the Concord Township Zoning Resolution to establish the Innovative Site/PD Overlay District.  The discussion will begin at 5 p.m. at the Concord Community Center, 7671 Auburn Rd., Concord Township.
