Walkers to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Care, support and research

CLEVELAND – Lake Metroparks Farmpark in Kirtland will be the site of the 2017 Walk to End Alzheimer’s on Sunday, Sept. 10. Activities and registration begin at 8 a.m. at the Farmpark, 8800 Euclid Chardon Rd., and the walk kicks off immediately after a brief 10 a.m. tribute ceremony honoring those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. The Alzheimer’s Association® is inviting local residents and businesses to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s by registering for the Walk.

Catholic area churchs starting Rite of Christian Inititiave for adults, kids

Concord TOWNSHIP - It’s not very often that people hear the sentiment “my life has changed or I feel like a new person,” but that’s what people say when they reflect on their RCIA/RCIC experiences. This past year 14 adults and three children participated in the annual RCIA/RCIC process that took place at St. Gabriel Parish in Concord Township and Catholic parishes around the diocese.

Mentor Avenue widening delayed by utility relocation

Mentor – A $2 million Mentor Avenue at Center Street lane widening project that was supposed to begin in late June hasn't gotten started because of delays in relocating utilities, namely overhead electric and telephone wires.
