Port Authority Board vacancy may be settled soon

LAKE COUNTY – The Board of Commissioners may settle the matter of the vacancy on the Lake County Ohio Port and Economic Development Authority Board of Directors at its next meeting on March 29.

March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month

LAKE COUNTY – The county was proactive about helping people with developmental disabilities by establishing Broadmoor School and Sheltered Industries in September 1965. The Ohio General Assembly established the Lake County Board of Developmental Disabilities / Deepwood until October 1967.

Laketran to sell Adkins Road property in Mentor

Lake County – Laketran’s board of trustees recently approved the sale of property along Adkins Road in Mentor. The vacant 12.95 acre property that lies just northwest of the State Highway 2 and state Route 306 interchange was purchased by the transit agency in 1995 with the intention to build a Park-n-Ride lot to operate commuter express service to Cleveland.
