Austinburg Township trustees pass medical marijuana zoning change

AUSTINBURG TOWNSHIP – The Austinburg Township Board of Trustees unanimously passed a proposed zoning change that will allow for the cultivation, processing and dispensing of medical marijuana within the township during its meeting on Monday, Aug. 21.

AUSTINBURG TOWNSHIP - In its 45th year, the Austinburg Country Days Festival will be held Friday, Aug. 25, through Sunday, Aug. 27. The festival takes place in the township park behind the First United Church of Christ, 2870 Rt. 307.

Community Counseling Center recovery breakfast series highlights mandated treatment’s effectiveness

ASHTABULA TOWNSHIP – The conventional wisdom regarding treatment and recovery from alcohol and drug abuse is that it will only work once the sufferer really wants to get sober, but a growing body of evidence and the experience of the featured speakers at an Aug. 10th recovery breakfast at Community Counseling Center show that sometimes addicts need a “nudge” into recovery.
