Local girls from Chalk Box Gymnastics represent Ashtabula ‘like none other’ at AAU Age Group Nationals competition

ASHTABULA – A gymnastics team of a dozen girls from Ashtabula training facility The Chalk Box, located on Main Avenue, traveled to Kingsport, Tenn. to participate in the Amateur Athletic Union’s Age Group National Competition June 22 to 25 – bringing home an impressive haul of medals for a small gym in a small community competing against much larger facilities from around the nation.

Ashtabula City Council enacts marijuana regulations

ASHTABULA – A set of proposed regulations limiting where medical marijuana dispensaries and processing facilities can be established passed by a unanimous vote of the Ashtabula City Council during their regular session meeting on Monday, Aug. 7.

Centerra to close Jefferson feed mill

GENEVA – Na*Kyrsie Meats, an artisanal whole-animal butchery run by celebrated Crosswinds Grille chef Nate Fagnilli, celebrated one year in business on Saturday, July 22, with samples of Fagnilli’s work on offer in the form of charcuterie and salumi as well as good, old-fashioned hamburgers from the grill on offer.
