Jefferson Rec Center sponsoring bus trips

JEFFERSON - The Jefferson Community and Recreation Center is sponsoring two bus trips that people can reserve spots for now.

The Rec Center is offering tickets to the 1 p.m. performance of Aladdin at Playhouse Square on May 20.

Tickets are $75 with a non-refundable deposit of $50 due by Jan. 25, 2018. The remaining balance is due by May 15.

The price includes transportation with Barrel and Bridges Tours. The bus will leave from the Rec Center at 11 a.m., returning at 7 p.m. after a dinner stop at Legacy Village.

Tickets make a great Christmas gift, Rec Center Supervisor Pat Bradek said.

The Rec Center also is organizing a bus trip through Richmond Limousines to Lake MetroParks Farmpark for its annual Ice Festival on 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 27.

The Ice Festival includes ice-sculpting competitions, ice demonstrations, ice-cream making and cheese making. There will also be farm-based activities such as cow milk-ing, a horse demonstration and a What’s Buzzing with the Bees? Tour.The cost is $35 and includes the price of the entrance ticket.
