JEFFERSON - The Veterans Pavilion at the Vietnam-era helicopter on Route 167 has had its green metal roof and back wall put in place this past week through the generosity of the Will Smith Construction Company of Jefferson.

Officials break ground on 534 sewer project

GENEVA AND HARPERSFIELD TOWNSHIP – Officials from the City of Geneva, Harpersfield Township and Ashtabula County broke ground on a long-awaited multimillion sewer expansion and improvement project along State Route 534 running from Northwest Ambulance District south to Old Orchard Drive on Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 2 p.m.

ACDL plans youth back-to-school activities

ASHTABULA AND GENEVA – The Ashtabula County District Library has a slate of activities planned for youth library visitors now that classes are back in session at Geneva and Ashtabula Area City Schools that will aid in studies and provide healthy entertainment for children after school.

Local girls from Chalk Box Gymnastics represent Ashtabula ‘like none other’ at AAU Age Group Nationals competition

ASHTABULA – A gymnastics team of a dozen girls from Ashtabula training facility The Chalk Box, located on Main Avenue, traveled to Kingsport, Tenn. to participate in the Amateur Athletic Union’s Age Group National Competition June 22 to 25 – bringing home an impressive haul of medals for a small gym in a small community competing against much larger facilities from around the nation.
