The Berriest Contest draws the sweetest kids

JEFFERSON - On Saturday, June 17, at 11 a.m. the parents escorted their tots to the Giddings Park pavilion for the “Berriest” contest that took place at noon during the Jefferson Days festival.

Local developer presents preliminary plans for Shores condo project

ROAMING SHORES – A local developer presented draft plans for a 11-building, 22-unit condominium development to the Roaming Shores Village Planning Commission during its June 7th meeting during which commission members provided feedback on the project slated to go in near the intersection of Evening Star Drive and U.S. Route 6.

Flag Day observed in Ashtabula

ASHTABULA – A small but passionate group of citizens gathered at Veterans Park on Wednesday, June 14, to honor the nation’s flag in what organizers said was the first Flag Day program in Ashtabula in many years.
The Rev. Bob Leonard or Hartsgrove Community Church acted as emcee and principal organizer for the Flag Day observance. Leonard is a member of the United War Veterans and a U.S. Air Force veteran who served during the Korean War.
