ROAMING SHORES – Matters related to the Roaming Shores Village Police Department ruled the day at the May 16th meeting of the Roaming Shores Village Council, with a police levy, new hires as well as permanent appointments of part- and full-time officers all considered during the meeting.

Geneva Board of Education moves toward income-tax levy

GENEVA – A proposed income-tax levy is one step closer to appearing on the November ballot before Geneva area voters after a May 25th Geneva Board of Education meeting disclosed a dire five-year forecast that showed steep cuts to school funding from the state, students leaving the district and reductions to local property values would leave the district millions of dollars in the red without additional revenue as well as staffing and program cuts.
