JEFFERSON – The Jefferson Domino’s Pizza franchise was honored by the Jefferson Area Chamber of Commerce on April 11 at its annual awards banquet in the “Dream Big” Business of the Year category for small firms in the Jefferson area with 20 or fewer employees.
“This year’s recipient gives local individuals employment opportunities, helps and donates to individuals and causes within the community and has been a main contributor to the Jefferson Athletic Boosters,” the Rev. Fred Grimm, a chamber member and emcee at the awards banquet, said. “They have been the main supplier of pizzas at the Jefferson home football games for years. They give to the community without question.”
The Jefferson Domino’s franchise is co-owned by husband-and-wife team Tom and Christine Jacobs. Christine says she navigates what she calls a balancing act - wife, mother, teacher and small business-owner.
The staff of between 15 and 19 employees includes Christine, Tom and their son Austin.
