‘Commendable’ spells success for Perry District Champ

Perry - Perry Middle School seventh-grader, Lukas Rosipko, has claimed this year’s title as the Perry Local Schools District Spelling Bee Champion for 2018. Rosipko won the competition by correctly spelling words such as cattle, intersect, tonic, infraction, vegetation, dexterity, chimpanzee, and finally, commendable.

MADISON/PERRY - Girl Scouts Service Unit 770, including troops from Madison and Perry school districts, met on their day off on Jan. 15, Martin Luther King Day, to prepare a meal for the homeless shelter, Project Hope, in Painesville Township.

MENTOR - The Lake County Council on Aging is seeking nominations for the 24th Annual Lake County Senior Citizens’ Hall of Fame. Established in 1994, the Hall of Fame is a tribute to seniors who have generously given their time and energy to improve the quality of life in their communities or the county at large. Their contributions can be from their professional lives, or through volunteer work.
