Lifeline seeking volunteers to assist with Income Tax Assistance Program

PAINESVILLE — Lifeline, Inc., Lake County’s Community Action Agency, is currently seeking volunteers to become certified tax preparers in order to assist low to moderate income households with tax preparation for the 2018 tax season. This program is offered in partnership with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) office in Cleveland.

Planning has begun for the fourth annual Home & Lifestyle Expo produced and organized by the Lake County Chambers of Commerce, which is comprised of the Eastern Lake County Chamber, Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce and Willoughby Western Lake County Chamber of Commerce.

United Way distributes $10,000 in food to food pantries

Mentor - On Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., United Way of Lake County (UWLC) distributed $10,000 in food to nearly 45 local food banks. This is enough to provide approximately 40,000 meals to residents suffering from hunger.
